Is it absolutely necessary to run the video before the game starts???? I bought the game, so don't go crazy saying I got it pirated, but I would love it to load faster if the video didn't load up.

what video? the Larian & CDV movies or the into movie?

the intro movie is only played the first time that you start . the other ones can be interrupted via a click with the mouse and those movies are standard played in EVERY game

Using a no cd patch is at your own risk, as this can cause (serious) bugs/troubles. And besides, it's not legal

I beg to differ Lynn. 'Legal' is how you look at it:
- the game can be warez and then offcourse it's illegal in anyway
- a no CD crack can be for convenience, and with a legally bought game I don't see any problems in it.
- ???

I kinda forgot all my points but asking for a no CD crank is not ALWAYS illegal, that's what I wanted to say. Personally I don't mind having to put in the CD.. mostly it just stays in there

[Linked Image] In my days, we had to walk to school for an hour! And back! And now people are complaining when they have to insert a disc into their disc drive... What a world! What a world...

@Kej. You surely changed a lot in those years.

I agree with Viper. You can do more or less what you want on your own puter. (Apart from some exceptions ofcourse. )
If you keep it to yourself there's no problem. But you're the only one responsable when things go wrong.

very true. I'm also very 'argwanend' against people telling stuff like I need a no-CD crack or whatever. It's just very suspicious

Yes, this is true Viper. I actually wanted to put most stress on the fact that a no-cd patch can cause severe bugs, which you wouldn't experience when you don't use such a patch. And I mentioned the legal/not legal part because I know some people could play a pirated version. Didn't want to offend anybody though.

And yes, sometimes gamers are not happy to use a cd to play a game, which I can understand, but it's also a part of the copy protection. As long as I don't get to many "I will kill you!" emails, it's ok. And the latter is true, I'm not exaggerating here. A few weeks ago, I got such an email, one page long from somebody cursing at me why the hell he/she had to use a cd to play the game! But I wasn't scared
