Is it possible to complete the Little Bo Bertia Quest and prevent Roberts from going to jail? Or is there a way to prove Roberts innocent of sheep stealing, since he technically didn't steal the sheep? Thanks.

Roberts did steal the sheep, though. That's the problem. He took Bertia's prized sheep and killed it, and then stuffed it into the coffin to hide the fact that the corpse was stolen by someone else (which he received money to keep quiet about).

While he did try to make good for it by confessing and returning the money in the end (and only if you manage to pry it out of him), he still did all those things, and once you tell Bertia his fate is in her hands.

whoops, I thought he said the sheep showed up with the bag of gold. I just have this horrible mental image of all those bodies piling up while the town's only undertaker's in the clink... Do you suppose there's a Cysealian work release program?

I will say that I do think it's unfortunate that there isn't an option to try and persuade Bertia to go easy on Roberts (or arguing on his behalf to have him released). That seems like an obvious oversight. You can break him out of the cell (which is cool), but he just bolts and vanishes, and nothing ever comes of it (which sucks).

Seeing as how stealing a couple of apples can get all in the legionnaires hostile, I think The world of Rivellon is pretty intolerant towards thievery

I agree, Gyson. I was hoping there was a way to argue in favor of releasing Roberts. Unfortunately, I even tried not mention the whole missing-body-sheep-thing to Bertia or Aureus but it seemed to mess with my murder quest.

Hopefully, in the future, they can expand on some of the quest solutions, because you can visit him in jail. Maybe convincing the Mayor and the legion guy (sorry at work heh) to go easy on him. I mean, it's not like someone else took over his job and I noticed quite a few dead soldiers outside while I was wondering around.
