so i wanted to wait until launch to dig into this amazing looking game and play it as a whole.. from what i have read everybody is saying that pretty much wizards and fighters are the strong classes and rogues/knights and such are no good? does this still hold true for the current version? i love rogues in other games and would like to try that sort of class but dont wanna struggle in my first playthrough that badly.. thanks

You can play anything you want. My main was a ranger who can one shot mages before the fight even start from 25m+.

So yeah, play whatever you want, so long you build them right and not go full random mode you should be fine.

Same here, having a blast with ranger. Got a point in geomancy because I just love using the spider, mostly to take on the hits:)

I played a Shadowblade, but more geared to Rogue style. It was weak at first but mid-lvl, the backstab criticals is crazy, shes wiping mobs faster than my 2 mages combined.

Ranger is good support. and when he gets charm it is even more enjoyable
