I know there's two parameters "walk speed" and "run speed" in the Sidebar when you select a character, so you can change those.

if u press strg while press left mouse, they run but attack the clickposition, u can stop the animation if u click again for moving

bug, was on one position, they were real fast with strg,

If it's still of interest I did find a mod over at NexusMods that increases your movement speed by 33%.
It also works on your existing single player campaign so no need to restart.
Installation is as easy as moving a file to your DOS directory.
Highly recommended as it doesn't effect frame rates or cause any graphical glitches and the run speed is now perfect imho.
