Just posted this on the steam discussions, but figured there was better chance to get an answer on here. So sorry if that's spamming!

But anyways, I just realized the "Send to Homestead" button from inventory has been deleting all my items because I didn't know there was an item limit to the storage chests in the homestead.

Is there any way to recover those deleted items? Do they go to another chest somewhere? I just deleted a quest item, so now I'm totally stuck and cannot progress. I'm pretty upset there was no indication it was full, and it let me keep deleting things. To add insult to injury, I just now realized it is also game breaking and need to restart if these items are non-recoverable frown

How many items did you have in storage? I've put a ton of items there and have yet to find a limit. Stupid question but are you sure you cant scroll down further in the chest?

I'm not sure if every container has the same limit, but I just counted the storage container in the End of Time that you send stuff to. Each chest holds 16 rows of 5, so 80 total. The storage just kept adding more and more rows as I filled it up, so it never occurred to me that there would be a limit. Also, you would think that if there was a limit, the game would warn you about it.

Item management in this game is terrible, so I was just trying to maintain a workable inventory. So I just kept sending all the crafting materials, food, scrolls, etc. that I wasn't using to my 2 chests. Just so happens I sent a quest item to the chest that was full. There's no "backlog" in the chests and no items in any of the other furniture in the bedrooms, so I'm assuming they were just permanently deleted.

So beware! Don't make the same mistake I did. Hopefully Larian adds in a warning because as we've seen here, it's a potentially game breaking bug.

I don't know about the chest in Homestead, but I can vouch that crates eventually do stop adding new rows to the bottom and max out.

Raze posted in another topic it's just a display issue, press "take all" and the 'destroyed/missing' items will return to you, even if you cannot see them...

THANK YOU!

That did indeed work. Saved me from restarting!
