A friend hosted a game, we got started, did a bit of the game, maybe an hour or so. I noticed my quicksave did nothing so I thought because he was hosting he had to save. He saved, exited, loaded in and he was in game with my character as one of his AI party mates and I couldnt see him online to join. What am I doing wrong? We want to experience the full game coop only so we will need to save often etc. Any tips? ty kindly.

Or just curious how to load it again so we can play together. Any help would be awesome.

The host is the only one with the save files.

When you join him after he starts the game, you will take control of whichever character he is NOT controlling, so he needs to make sure he has the proper character active before you join.

If you cannot see his game, he may not have it visible in the options. You can choose whether you are Public, Friends Only, Invite Only, or Private.

Assuming you're on Steam, he can invite you into the game by Shift-Tabbing into the overlay and sending the invite from his friends list. Or, assuming he has the game as visible to Friends (or Public) you should be able to find it in the game list.

The invite method is probably the easiest, and also prevents accidental joins from strangers.

It's not working, we cant join each others game, even though he is public and a friend I cannot even see him in the game menu, he can see me though. He also has my character besides him as an AI. not sure.
