Im at the start, havent yet pushed the murder quest to the point where Evelyns runs away. I got the three pieces of evidence for Esmeralda, went and talked to Robert.

I started a multiplayer game but im playing alone for now, if that makes a difference.

Esmeralda, Aureus and Arhu are displaying the murder quest end dialogues when i ask them about it.
Therefore, i cannot push Esmeralda to reply properly to evidence.


The only thing i did out of the ordinary was that i went and dugout Jakes grave without talking to anyone, as soon as i entered the town. I took the sheep from the coffin and went to talk to Berthia...which is where the problem started.

After that Robert refused to talk to me, displaying just a single sentence of "What is it now...?" style.

And the three characters i mentioned started saying murder quest ending sentences.

Evelyn is still at the doctors so nothing real has changed.

I guess i will break into her house and then see if things actually move forward. It looks like it should work overall.

but it sure looks ugly.

Apart from that, various smoke effects still stop me from shooting or casting spells through them while enemies shoot and cast spells through them freely.


Its really, really f`ing annoying, to see that still malfunctioning after all this time.

And line of sight is also fucked up...excuse my french, where my archer cannot shoot at an undead archer because of some fucking fence or model of a cart (west fields encounters) but the enemy shoots at me!


Add to that that undead mages and fighters heal zombies with normal healing spells.

Which should not be happening anymore.... right?

The decision to make differences in level create various penalties is ugly and doesnt really play well.

Im not sure how much of anything is affected by my attributes and skills and how much by level difference alone - but the visible difference between an enemy one level down or up is very big.


Im sure its a bit too late to change that and the game can certainly be played like that but it just looks and feels ugly.


All these basically very big penalties pile up and overall, in the end - practically force the game much more towards pure, focused classes builds then it should be.

You removed "way of the -" to avoid this very issue.

With the starting presentation in character creation being so hugely turned towards "classes" its not a wonder that you have a forum full of posts about this or that class and most of people playing those constricted builds.

Despite all the talk about a classless game!


Now, i wouldnt suggest removing those various penalties completely... but they should be adjusted and lowered to more appropriate levels.

Excuse my language above, i just had to vent a little bit after being repeatedly shot at by enemies standing in or behind smoke clouds or some ordinary assets in nature - that i cannot shoot back at.

from a different playthrough:


In Silverglen Tavern, after finishing with Bicky situation in a positive way, (i get the reputation positive points and all), my two characters get the dialogue prompt overhead and comment the situation as if ive chosen the worse option.

If i do choose the worse thing then there is no dialogue prompt and nobody comments anything.
I do lose a few points of rep in the whole group though.

Im not sure but i think you guys changed how water looks in the nature, a few versions ago. It was much nicer before that change. Unless im mistaking completely, but it does look "slightly" different then before.

Anyway, in several places...

there is a small patch of running water on the left, right in the middle of the ground there.

There are several other such smaller places where running water looks like that. Whatever water effect-surface was there before looked much, much better.

The water surface here is completely static. It looks like extreme plastic wrap effect.
A small thing and nobody noticed it, sure, but... it just looks really, really unnatural, thats all.

Arhus Sparkmaster encounter is still producing all kinds of poor, silly or just lousy things to happen.

In the last attempt, it simply turned its back to us and didnt do anything the whole fight. No, controller was never used.
It replied to my attempt to use the controller with Madora, like this:

That just doesnt make any sense at all.

The civilians now had run towards the fight even if i intentionally kept them way back, sacrificing the involvement of one Source Hunter, who remains out of the fight.

The encounter is just rubbish when you force these different things in. In the whole Cysael of good combat encounters this one stands out as the worst.
Which is really a shame because it could be used for much more.

Regarding your first issues, we can only really check up those bugs if you send us a report with the support tool. It will allow us to check your D:OS logs and figure out what went wrong.
It can be found here: http://www.larian.com/OriginalSinAlpha/AnalysisTool_DOS.exe
Simply run the tool and click generate report, then send this to supportdos@larian.com with a small description.

Regarding the other issues you posted, I will pass them on to design.

Hi Issh, If You are referring to the broken murder quest issue you can check it by starting a new game and going straight for the grave without talking to anyone and digging it out.

Ill try to generate that report anyway, but im not sure if i have the save anymore...

Bug - when trying to go back out of Esmeralda, from the room where she is - back to her private room in the back, (above)

After i already came in from that same back room, after i looted everything down below and opened the door from the other side.
I can enter the room where she is without problem, and trade with her, but when i try to go out she seems to behave as if i tried to lockpick the door.

Then i get frozen into place, right in the doorway - waiting for the guards - but they get stuck somewhere too, or cant figure out the path to get to me. So the whole game freezes and nothing happens for a very long time. I cannot do anything with my characters or with any command. Cant even Esc out of the game.
Cant "skip turn" or anything.

They eventually appear, start the combat immediately and i used "run away from combat" function to extricate myself from that doorway.

Now every time i come back there the combat immediately starts.

Its annoying as hell and serves no purpose at all, except clogging the screen and making everything annoying as hell!

This happens when im holding down the Alt key, so that i can see what im going to pick up or not. The more items is there the worse it all looks.

Please remove the green tutorial pop-ups from the game too.
Those are also very annoying!

And they appear even much later in the game, if that specific situation hasnt been achieved before. I dont need those.
And they look really ugly too. Completely out of the game art and color style.

There should be an options to turn those and item tool tip pop-ups OFF.

btw, ive noticed that i cannot bake pizzas and other dough based dishes in the mobile kitchen... whats up with that?

Do i have to find a mobile oven now? Or use the blacksmiths for every meal like this? Do you think all that soot, heavy metals and chemicals are healthy?

Thanks for all the reports, I did mean the Jake Murder issue you were having.

About reproducing certain bugs: Often times, these issues aren't always reproducable (sometimes not at all, sometimes only after a very prolonged testing phase), what might be not working for you could very well be working for us. There can be tons of variables regarding this.
What works in one build might be broken in another one suddenly, due to some freak occurance, etc.

That is the reason the logs are so important, since we usually can see where it went wrong in those files.

Some more:

The screen tends to "freeze" - refuses to pan when i nudge the edges with the mouse pointer until i order one of the characters to take a few steps. Then it starts panning normally. The cause seems to be doing anything with or in the chat window.
(havent tried this since before global chat went out)

Lillian and headless Nick still attack me if i decide to leave the head where it is and report so to Lillian.
Which doenst make any sense at all. Additionally - her dialogue when i tell her that Nicks head wants to stay and perform doesnt even hint at any anger at me because of it. All she says is that she is fed up with waiting and that she will move on. As in just go away. Then the dialogue finishes and suddenly the combat starts.

So... that is a bug? Right?

If not, its a bit of a very lousy design. (nice to see i can finish the quest any which way i start it now, but not nice that its dependent on a single thing to achieve this)

I go to doctors hut, find the evidence, the letters, the diary. If i dont read them at once i can go back to Thelyron in the city and then read the letters and ask him about it.

But all i can ask about is a "letter that mentions Braccus" while the letters do much more then mention him. In the letters there is direct correspondence between Thelyron and the Conduit directly explaining what he is doing and the role Evelyn has.

Nothing happens until i open the diary. Which is wrong. Even the letters are enough to see who has been raising the undead and specifically why.

After that, Thelyron teleports away and Evelyn runs and disappears in the middle of the market, while i can go to Aureus but i cant tell him a damn thing about any of it. I can "talk about undead problem" but i cannot say what i just discovered. Even if my characters loudly exclaim how "Gosh, it was the doctor all along!" previously.
The journal doesnt mention it either.


It all has to wait for that moment where i find Thelyron under the church. Which is just very... non RPG-ish.

Thelyron just being killed after that conversation ends is also not the best solution but... i guess youve given me plenty of material for a mod you will all like very much.
If i ever do it, that is.

I STILL cant say anything about Astarte to the imp, right after he sent me to that room, telling me he is sensing a "presence" there and that he is curious who it is!!

Not even after ive talked to Time Weaver about her. ffs.
For some unfathomable reason he asks me about her - when i open the next bloody room, just before i go in!!

Why not the moment i return from the first!?

Murphy doesnt recognize Jake standing right in front of him, later when Jake returns to the grave in Cysael.
I get that he isnt smelling the same anymore but there should be some bloody reaction from both of them.

Evelyns fight has been made much easier now. Cultists have half of health again and Evelyns backup is less numerous and gets a bad tactical starting position.

When trading i cannot identify items with characters that did not start the trading, only with the one who initiated it.

When i open character screen, flipping through characters and their inventories does not change the selected character portrait on the left or the hotbar - it should - bring it back.

You mean that it gives stats when hovering over an equipable item. Surely a lot of people find that handy (loot a box, instantly know if sword within is better than current for example).

The big beer thing (whats it called? Keg?) in the inn does indeed serve beer.

Ah, yes. Although my suggestion was just to *save* the character build and load it up next time you do new game (instead of always the default) so you instantly know what you had before if you want to make small changes or just mix it up

Game options - Context window or something it was called. If not it should be pretty obvious since there's not that much to change. It's not gone.

That's because during trading, switching characters doesn't change characters (still (not) getting barter effects or having comparisson with another one's item are clear giveaways). Not sure if intended, I do think it's a little odd.

- No, i mean that whan i press Alt to highlight all items i can loot and then try to take them - those small tool tip widows open as i put my mouse pointer over every single item there, regardless of what it is - and that completely obscures the view.

Those popups spring up for even simplest and useless of items.
It is not necesary at all. it has no purpose of use. If i want to compare an item with one of my own i will do it in my inventory.

The bug there is that when you try to put a cooking pot on the fireplace where it is originally... the whole mobile kitchen jumps into your own inventory, so you can then carry it away from that specific spot and put it anywhere you like - which is what i did.

The fireplace in question is the one in the bandit camp in the northwest beach area, above dietmar and his thugs.

What you see there is the place i took it too. Looks nice doesnt it?

No, its not there. There is the context menu options but that just lest you choose whether you want it by left, right or right+shift clicks.

Thing is, i liked that radial menu and it worked really fine, which isnt that usual. So, if there isnt some specific reason why it was removed i would like to see it again. If possible.

- Yes, that functionality was in one of the middle versions of the beta. Then it was redesigned later for some strange reason.

Mobile kitchen shows as a cooking pot that says "mobile kitchen" and you can drop it anywhere you want, together with the fireplace and all.

Radial menu was ...well, radial. Same as the one now functionally but upon right click it would show the options in a radial formation. With... icon if i remember correctly? Looked nice and functioned very well. Even seemed a bit quicker then the usual menu.

Co-op minor issue.

or two.

I found out that even if im killed in co-op, i can still teleport myself away from the fight.

That seems to be a feature.

So ... me as a pile of ash teleported to the nearest Waypoint after dying in the fight at the Lighthouse...

and this is how i looked after my co-op partner resurected Scarlet i was playing with.

A different issue i saw for the first time ever, since i never played co-op before this instance is that camera works even worse in co-op then in SP.

The issue is that once i finish my turn i loose the control of the camera which flips over enemies and then to my coop mate, and if they are farther away - i cannot see a bloody thing that is going on.

As far as i remember in the first versions of the beta the camera did not so forcefully jump around centering on and following each character or enemy and i cant even imagine why would anyone enable this kind of camera functionality or why would it be hard locked and impossible to change in the options?

Could this kind of option be added to combat?

It really should.

Its annoying as hell to play like this and it even prevents me from seeing what is going on - in my own game.

I noticed that in the english version you get tips when the game is loading. They dont appear in my language (German).
And could you just write loading Homestead or Black Cove i sometimes get some filenames

I got this Bug too, Hiver but after the battle i saved, reloaded and it was back to normal.

Witches grotto mini map disappears when you try to zoom in. When its still small as you havent explored the whole grotto yet, when you try to zoom in it gets shifted somewhere to the side and its difficult to blindly move it back to center of the map screen.


Spell effect still fire off in empty air over dead enemies, as you run back to a location where you previously finished some fight.


Got 5 skill bars, the pointer buttons on the side of Ui work in reverse. Clicking up reverses the number down instead of counting up - 1, 2, 3 etc.
Clicking button down should count 5, 4, 3 etc. Now it does the opposite.



- oh yes, when i reach Almina... who is dying from something or other ... she still has the time to talk to me about anything i can ask her about, for as long as i want, - and only when she tells me all i may want to know, does she die. Dramatically.

Very dramatic.

i dont see any point in that situation at all.

ever try to cook pizza in a pot?

you need an oven, and a furnace is big enough to suffice if you can't find one.

A MOBILE KITCHEN... is not just a pot over a fire. If it was, it wouldnt be called a MOBILE KITCHEN but "a pot over a fire". Im quite sure the nuances of different meanings juxtaposed with simple visuals will completely escape you.

Besides that i do seem to remember MOBILE KITCHEN having much more uses in the beta then it does now.


But most importantly of all - i havent asked you a godamn thing. Instead, im making this list here for devs to see.

So feel free not to write anything in, or reply to any of my posts, ever again.
Because really, you managing to find one single sentence to actually fail to understand in some desperate knee jerk need to touch your ego a little bit, isnt really helping anyone, least of all you.

Goblin Village.

I get friendly with the goblins and their totem.
I lure the Spider Queen there so we all have a nice huge fight.

The problem is that whenever the Spider Queen shoots her poison bombardment spell at the goblins - they turn aggressive - red towards me too. Up to that point they are green.

It is definitely not a result of any of my spells or damage done to goblins. I made sure to stay well away and havent attacked them or anywhere near them at all, just watching them duke it out with the Queen.

Tried this four five times and they always turn enemy towards me too, as soon as the Queen shoots that specific spell at them. They dont turn red from another of her abilities and attacks.


I wouldnt mind this if it happened for some sensible reason, like Goblins figuring out i did it on purpose but they dont, they cant and its just a glitch or a small bug of some kind.

Oh right, i found a troupe of Bards, with animals listening to one of them telling stories. The other one is our composer Kirill and he offers me to choose some tunes i would like to listen to.

I tried choosing any of them several times and nothing much happens.

Im not sure is that supposed to change the currently playing background music but if it does - its not working.
