How the hell do you trigger combat?

Check the sidebar for that creature/npc. The aligment tab should do the trick. Try name it Evil Npc
That worked for me.

It is. I've added scripts for behavior as well. As far as I can tell my settings are the exact same as a group of skeletons outside Cyseal. Except for the Combat Group ID, which is greyed out. And it seems like that'd be important.

I honestly have no idea then. We need a lot more tutorials on this stuff from Larian.
I only tried it really fast with a goblin ranger, making him a henchman..and then switching his aligment to evil so he would go into combat with me upon view.

Hi all. Anyone have have solid info on how to have combat happen? I load different enemies and they are marked as Evil NPC, but nothing happens. I can make it so I can attack and kill them, but can't get the combat sequence to trigger. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you set your character's alignment?

I've tried Good, Neutral and leaving it blank. Are any of those valid or should it be something else?

Is it a new mod? If so, you must put Alignment.lsx file in Data/Mods/Your Mode Name/Story/Alignments folder.
To get that file you must unpack main.pak with lstools and copy it to your mod
