I have found penumbra's dagger but I can't find her. I've searched all threads but I didn't see anything that was of use. I've tried going to the whore house but I didn't see her. There is a room there that is locked...I think it may the owners...and I'm level 4 pick lock. It fails everytime. Is there something I have to do to get penumbra to show up in the game or am I just looking in the wrong place? Oh...another thing...I seen something about Corrina's house. Where's that at? I've walked all over verdistist (sp) and I can't find that either. Someone please give me a hand here!

In order to get to Penumbra, you have to join the thieves guild first. Next, go through the locked door in the cellar and proceed to the right. She'll be within that passage behind a door that is being guarded. After you free her, she should be in Corinna's house.

I can't get through the locked door in the cellar. Is there a key hidden somewhere? I've tried picking the lock (lvl 4) but I fail everytime. What's up with this?

Are you a member of the thiefs guild?? Ask Rob about it. If you're a member, you get the key from him.

yes I'm a member of the theives guild...or atleast I should be cuz I remember doing that a long time ago...but when I talk to him he asks if I've done it yet. I don't know what he could be referring to. Have any ideas?

ok, here are the speech options I get when I talk to Rob: He greets me and asks what he can do for me. The first option is: Patience friend. I need a little more time. The second option is: I would like to hear the latest rumour and gossip if you will. And the third is: farewell. When I choose the first option Rob tells me, "you have lock picks and that is all you need. Such a lock would pose no problem for someone with modest skill." The only thing I think he could be talking about is the second test to enter the guild but I have already done that. Could this be a bug maybe? I've noticed a few odd things since I've had my computer reformatted such as: The maps go black again when I've already cleared the area. If you have an Idea PLEASE help me! note: I had already started a game and had it saved when my computer was reformatted.

That dialog option sticking around even after joining the guild is a bug, fixed in the latest patch, I believe. Don't worry about it.

If you joined the guild, the door should have been opened. You can still get past it, though.

Are any doors opened by quests re-sealed (sounds like the thieves' guild entrance may have been)? If so, did you have the 1.33 patch installed? That version had a potential bug; Map has gone back to black ... Solution for patch and disappearing maps.

in the thieves guild, east past the room were the guy wants to have a bet with you, you run into a guard saying 'this room is offbounds' kill him and go in, he's tough, or go back west with new patch and he shopuld leave then go in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

You have to go in thieves guild. The hatch is in the Ducal inn near Afrasam.

Yes.
You don't have to kill the guard.
Use speechoptions. You will see him leaving when you leave the room after talking to him.
