This is near the witch; there is a path that goes up to the scroll. THere are some traps that if you play the mouse over them you get a gear thingy (they are not the traps with a red dot); I'm not too sure what I do with them. If I try a disarm tool nothing happens (I can only drop the disarm tool); but since I get a gear cursor when the cursor is over them I think I'm suppose to do something I just don't know the something.

This is also one of my complaints with the game; there seem to be very little feedback from the game... but maybe this will be obvious once someone provides the answer smile

Just cast an AoE spell on the area. That will bring all the mines in an area to blow up... wink

That's what i do with the ones with red dots; but these don't have a red dot and they don't blow up.

Just cast a fireball in the area (you don't have to aim exactly for a single trap). They will blow up.

I already answered that; if you been to the area I am talking about you will understand what I am talking about these round 'trap' like things do not have a red dot; they do not blow up. If you put your cursour over them it turns into a gear thing (like the grind stone or furnace).

Which area do you mean exactly?

The path to the scroll that opens the mirror cage. There are a bunch of traps with red dots (these you can blow up); there is a bar to a trap you can cover and there are two other silver things on ground that look like traps but have no dot and you get a gear when you move the cursor over them.

Try putting a barrel or box on it, I think that may work based off what you are saying.

Well my question is what does it want when the cursor turns to a gear; i.e, how do i interact with it. My question is not how can i blow the trap up or cover it. I'm confused by the cursor turning into a gear; I thought it wanted a trap disarm tool but that doesn't work.

Hm, just leave them be. They don't need to be disarmed. wink

But why does the cursor change; how was I able to interact with them. These are the important questions I want answered. I want to understand what I was suppose to do; what I did was kind of cheesy.

I think what you're looking for is the answer, the trap disarm kit doesn't work on all traps. Some traps are ones you must avoid. Active ones like mines, poison spewers etc, can be disarmed. At least thats what i've found. The cursor will gold highlight if you can do anything, stay the same color if not.
