Hello everyone! Yesterday I started playing DOS (nice abbreviation ^^) and I already spent like 16 hours (seriously, I started playing 10pm last night, ended about 2pm with small breaks) but as I am quite new to retro crpgs I wasted a lot of time figuring out where to go to gain some levels (I was stuck at level 3 for quite some time), but finally I was able to get somewhere with my character, but then I realized, that the abilities and stats that I have are not the best. I started the game as shadowblade, I thought mage/rogue would be a good combination, but right now I find myself only using backstab trait and scoundrel/marksman skills, none whatsoever of witchcraft or that air magic. I have 7 points in inteligence, which I could totally do without, but only 5 in constitution. That makes for some unnecessary quick save-quick load due to the low hp pool I have. If I could somehow transfer that 2 points from inteligence to constitution and erase that witchcraft and air magic I would be very happy. Please tell me if there is a way to edit appropriate files or will I have to wait for someone to develop such a tool and is it likely that it will be developed? Thank you for your help, cheers!

There's a room you unlock in the End of Time where you can respec. I don't remember which one but it's one with fairly early availability (I've a vague notion it'll be the third or fourth star stone you find).

There's an early room where you can redo your appearance.
The room where you can respec is available sometime after you leave Cyseal.

Hi guys,

I am new to the game. I feel like I have barely done anything, yet I am ~10 hours in!

Anyway, my question is does the respec functionality allow you to do change the invested points in abilities and talents?

Thanks!

Respec gives you back every point you have spend. It won't affect permanent passive boni like the +1 Tenebrium quest reward or the +1 Intelligence / -1 Perception book.
Things worth noting about the respec guy is that you will have to buy / find the skillbooks again and that he also offers to give you 10 Ability points for unspent Talents and 1 Attribute point for 5 Ability points.
