Bearing in mind I own the GOG Version,

So, I started to play even though the game is unfinished (isn't this what early access is for, are we now expected, not only to buy unfinished games, but also to put up with them as a supposed released product?), but at least I could replay the full version later with all the bells and whistles and patches when everything worked, right?

I put about 30 hrs and more into it, then it started crashing in Silverglen, don't know what happened but even distant saves were affected and the game continued to crash. No choice I had to restart, but damn the game is still unfinished even with a patch, I know now I'm going to have to play it again. I start it up create profiles, jump in.. WHY IS THE TEXT STILL BUGGERED? Mainly 'm' and 'w'. It's a pain in the ass to read unfinished words all the time.. You've had a couple of patches to fix it and this is something we can actually SEE.

So you've got that and you still haven't even bothered with a description for the DLC items.. pretty fucking sloppy when you don't even give a shit for the quality of your paid DLC, even though it was for the backers firstly, and you don't even think enough of them to get it right.

So among all the omissions, the bullshit, the changes and the disappointments, we still have sloppy to deal with also?

It's going on the shelf now, it's far too annoying to play knowing what's missing and constantly having to do crossword puzzles in order to read it, and when I say 'read it' I mean 'play it'.

I never thought for a second that I'd wait for this, and then just stick it on a shelf in abject disappointment, just after a day or two.

Make sure anti-aliasing is not forced in your video drivers. That can cause problems with missing letters (and problems with some textures). If you'd actually asked about that, or bothered to report it as a bug, instead of making assumptions, you could have had it fixed a couple days ago.

Bugs happen in all games. Even if Larian had stopped adding things and making balancing changes during the beta, there are inevitably going to be more bugs found after release than during a limited beta. The beta generally had 100 to 200+ people playing at any given time; the Steam sale jumped that up to 1000 and right now Steam says 8500 people are playing. If you add in however many are playing the GOG version, or the Steam version offline, there are 2 orders of magnitude more people playing now than the beta, which means many more hardware configurations, and many more permutations through the game.

Lol, you sound as if I've found the only issue in the game, we both know that's not quite true don't we?

Fixed days ago?.. I notice you haven't mentioned the random crashing that has rendered my game unplayable, go on tell me that's acceptable? .."but it happens".. Yep, Larian seem to be suffering the full gambit of errors, but at this point, knowing what we know, and going hand in hand with everything that's happened, it's safe to say it all comes down to management problems and considering the decisions that have been made, the state of this game should hardly be of a surprise to anyone

Ah well at least that would have been ONE issue dealt with, only innumerable to go huh?

But the solution is to make it look worse, in order for me to not get annoyed looking at it? That's not really a solution, especially as there have been a couple of patches. Regardless of computer configurations the problem can only be caused by a few things and Larian would know which things those were, we even know graphics setting have an impact. This should have been fixed as priority. Even though it's all broken and inadequate underneath an attempt should have been made for it to at least look professional.

Yeah, bugs happen, but when there is just oh so much more crap to put up with on top of it all, it all becomes a little less acceptable.

Larian have a LOT of work ahead of them to bring any polish to this game. I'm curious whether the future will continue as the past.

Edit... Lol, after all that, it wasn't fixed. So not a solution at all then? Looks like it stays off. Pretty damn poor.
