I have to say I was very impressed with this game when I played it! I'll admit, I'm not much for over the top veiw style RPGs say for except Path of Exile which I find very balanced. This game won me over by two major things. The first being the challenge. I'm a challenge-holic of sorts. In a more frank matter I get a stiffy playing Dark Souls. (Which I have just beaten 2 with a broken sword.) With that said I like hard and challenging games that are fair. However I find that "Hard" difficulty is...unbalanced? Not in most situations but some are a bit ridiculous. For instance having a lvl 3 Tank character getting killed by a lvl 1 enemy in melee combat since each hit takes 1/3 of the tanks life... Any-who it is beatable. The second thing being the turn-based combat. Love it. (Big FFX fan here.) It makes for some very interesting combat situations.
SO! With that said, good game...But...
When I mention this I don't mean to imply that all developers should make a fix for every human beings problem. However the only killing factor of this game to me is the Font. There I said it. I know it has been discussed but I wanted to be allowed to voice my opinion as well. I LOVE this game, but at decent resolutions the font is a killer! I mean it be different if you had to listen to what people say with the occasional read, but this game is all about reading! (Which I have no problem with!) However I would think, "If I were to create a game with a ton of reading in it I should make it comfortable to read for all audiences." I don't wear glasses/contact and I have 20/20 vision however I find myself straining to play this game because of the font. I don't want to be lazy and skip all the dialog! I want to immerse myself deep into the realm of which you have created and to do that I have to read!
Well there you have my opinion. Thank you for making a great game and I hope that one day a modder or developer will take the time to create an adjustable font or UI.
