Crash is upon attempting to load any save once the Orc Boss near Black Cove has been defeated.

I got this exact same problem 10 miniutes ago... none of my saves work after Orc boss.

same here, after the orc in the beach, i have quick save in the cave and... when i want to reload crash

Same. I killed the Orc boss, but didn't enter the cave. Went and did some other stuff, and loading any of my saves after that point causes a CTD. I have one other save, from 5 minutes into the game, and it loads properly.

Can confirm. Every save after killing the orc boss next to black cove has been corrupted.

I do alot of quicksaving, so yeah im pretty much screwed. Tried loading "auto-saves" but that didnt work for me either, and my last save that does work is in town prior to me robbing it clean of everything. Damn, i dont like the idea of going through all that again.

Larian works actually on a patch ? before the week end ?

This issue should be fixed in an upcoming patch 1.066, it should go live today.

Is it possible to know what the issue/fix actually is :-? Basically I'm wondering if the save files got corrupted during saving, and won't be useable (meaning we'd have to restart the game from an older one), or if the save files are actually OK but the loading was failing (meaning that with the fix we'll be able to continue using our latest save)

The save files should be usable again after the fix.

restart steam and you will get the update.

but the problem is, it wont solve the crash issue

yup. Was excited to see the patch. It DOES do something different for me, the whole game doesnt crash to desktop now, but I get the 300, 301 error codes now.

There should be an update coming very soon which will enable the continuation of the savegames affected by the 'black cove' issue.
