first question about this skill is simply if it is worth investing in? im a big fan of regeration, i love it for some reason...but when i put one point in to it, and saw the effects...i was not too pleased. does it get worth it later on?

also, a question about how the skill works...

here is the description of it

-Survivors Instinct (Passive)

Grants you the ability to regenerate your vitality

Level 1-
Regenerate your vitality at a rate of 12
Required Level: 12

Level 2-
Regenerate your vitality at a rate of 10
Required Level: 18

Level 3-
Regenerate your vitality at a rate of 8
Required Level: 24

Level 4-
Regenerate your vitality at a rate of 4
Required Level: 30

Level 5-
Regenerate your vitality at a rate of 2
Required Level: 36

it APPEARS that you actually regenerate less vitality every level, but obviously this cant be the case because that would make no sense

so thats why im here asking somebody to shed light on this for me?

Hi

I think it's ment timerate. If it takes 12 time units to regenerate 1 point at level 1, it will only take 2 time units to regenerate 1 point at lvl 5.
As for the effect, i tried it to late in the game to notice any difference.

Morpheon is right...by rate it means how frequently, and the lower the value the better. It wouldn't really make sense for a skill to get worse as you put more points into it.

Anyways, I used it last time I played the game (I think I had 3 points in it) and there was never a time when I thought "oh man, I'm glad I have that". It's kinda nice to be gaining life while exploring, but if you're in a fight, regenerating a few points of health every 8 time units isn't gonna do much for you...

Survivor's Instinct isn't so good during combat, but it is great between combats. If you don't like carrying lots of potions, you can do some exploration between big battles and fully recover your health. You do need to have several levels in it for it to be useful, particularly if you have a high Constitution.

I put a point in when it became available, and it was good enough to top off my health when I went to town to trade or drop off loot. I maxed it when I got to the wastelands, to use up some skill points, and it was almost the only healing I required after that.

One time unit is one second, so level 5 gives you 1 hit point every 2 seconds, etc.

i decided not to invest in this skill with my warrior in the wastelands area, because he had so many hitpoints that regenerating 7 hitpoints every 10 seconds wouldnt have made a difference...he had about 1100 hitpoints
