OMG TH!S G4M3 R T3hy SuX!111

seriously though, i was sad to beat the game...that means there is no more to do =[

that is, except for restart

but for any larian guys reading this, congrats on a job well done...

when i was playing this game, the whole time i was intrigued by it...im not sure really how to describe it other than the game seemed to have its own "flavor", which is very rare these days

SO OK, here is the real topic here. i think im going to restart...but im not sure exactly what kind of character i want to play. i want to be different from my first character enough so it doesnt feel like im doing the exact saem thing over again. (btw, he was a warrior that used a 2 handed sword, and mostly passive skills along with restoration)

ya i was a pretty simple character, but i was a simple player too beecause this was my first time through =P

so i was thinking that since i was pretty much a straight warrior last time, that this time i would be maybe a mix between a mage and a survivor...

so i thought i would ask you guys this since you all have played this game a lot...

any suggestions for a fun character build? only thing i know i dont really like is builds based around overbalanced/easily misused skills or something that makes the game too easy, and i dont really like summons because for one i like to kill myself and two, i dont like relying on AI

but ya, thanks for any feedback in advance =]

also, a small question...near rivertown, i think somewhat near the wishing well, i found a cave that was buried under some boulders...in the cave, i found a two handed sword that was awesome and i used it for the rest of the game, it was called "Blade of Chaos"...does that spawn EVERY time, or is it a random spawn in that cave?

The sword is always in that cave, though stats are random.
You might want to try a survivor/archer with some magic, or mage/archer with some survivor skills. Either would be a change from a melee warrior.

Hi,

You might want to try going through these links for some ideas on building your next character:

Survivor Tips

Kaan's Mage Guide

You don't have to follow the tips given exactly but they could serve as a guide.

Thanks.

interesting, ive read both those threads and all the guides linked to those guids, and in some cases the guilds linked to the guides that was linked to the guide

i have a question...some peopel said that trueshot was bugged, but the posts were dated like april or may i think...is trueshot still bugged in the 1.34 patch?

also, some people said that swords are the superior weapon, because you can find so many more swords than anything else...im not sure if this is true or not because honestly i didnt really pay attention to any weapon i found that wasnt a sword...but if this is true then it makes me sad, because i was hoping to try out a different weapon this time around =/

"is trueshot still bugged in the 1.34 patch?"

Yes, as is the damage bonus of Crossbow Expertise. Rangers can still be quite powerful, though (several people have complained that their builds were almost too strong).

There are a greater number of powerful swords consistently in the game than any other weapon, but you can get good weapons of other types. It may not be a case of 'do this quest' or 'find this cave' to get it, but random drops and trading are still available. There is one unique bow consistently in the game, no staves or spears that I recall, 2 daggers, one axe after the catacombs....
