Hi,

do i have to craft my own Weapons or can it be done by a blacksmith somewhere in a town?

so, do i have to learn blacksmith and crafting or can i find a blacksmith (like in Diablo 3) e.g. in Cyseal or somewhere else?

Thank you! smile

There is no blacksmith in Cyseal. Esmeralda sells gear, and I think the captain on the ship in the harbor also sells some gear.

BS and Crafting are useful but not entirely necessary. If you want to do blacksmithing, there's a little blacksmithing area behind the abandoned house near the fountain.

Finding all the 'He who smelts it' books will teach you all the various things you can do with blacksmithing, I believe. Or just find it online I guess. (I've found it useful to have blacksmithing and crafting, but you only need 1 or 2 points in them, if any at all, because you can find and save gear that gives bonuses to them, so you could just carry a total of +3-+5 bonus in your pack and equip it when you want to go crafting/blacksmithing)

The answer is no.

Blacksmithing, like Crafting, are optional extras you can choose to pursue but the game will not be any tougher because you lack them. Since Jahan begins with Scientist, and thus a free point in Blacksmith and Crafting, he can repair your weapons for you as well meaning you are free to completely and passionately ignore it...

unless you want to have fun doing it.

Acutally the game is a lot tougher without crafting. Blacksmithing is not so important because you can let NPCs repair stuff for you but crafting is one of the most important talents in the game imo...
