I'm sure this question has been posed many times before, and the answer may well be contained within this site somewhere, but here goes anyway...

DD 2...is it planned, and when?

And will one's character from DD be transferable to sequel?

Here's hoping both answers are in the affirmative...

Riftrunner try this latest rewiew..... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> looks sweet! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

i don't believe the player will be transferable <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

riftrunner takes place in the future......

and <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> 2 should be out by the end of next year i believe. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Transferable ? The infamous "Heldenimport" ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Must openen a new thread in german rpg chat ... can't resist ... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />

[Historical explanation : Back at times when LMK was in development, we heavily (and with *very* much fun ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> ) discussed whether it could and would be possible to transfer chars from the NLT into LMK. This Transfer of Heroes was called "Heldenimport" ("Hero-Import"). It became an infamous word. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> ]

I alredy read it the other day, Alrik. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Maybe others are interested too.
Maybe we'll run into an aged Alix or Polgara in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> [color:"orange"]2 [/color]. Or Arhu or Lar. (with lots of puppies/kittens) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />
Or maybe even Alrik the Elder, honorary leader of the warriors guild.

Speaking of puppies or kittens...It would be neat to have a pet throughout the game that gets exp.points and just keeps you company if you decide not to go online and play with friends. Or if you do go online and play you can bring your pet with you and everyones pets could play together. Just a bit <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/offtopic.gif" alt="" />

I like that idea. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> Although I'd prefer a Unicorn as company ... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> ( I like Unicorns. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> )

The pet idea sounds like a Familiar (for mages and sorcerers) or an Animal Companion (druids and rangers) in Dungeons and Dragons games <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

They are nice to have. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

You should try Arcanum - you can rescue a pooch from an unpleasant death & have a faithful companion 'til endgame - not to mention one of the best fighters in the game <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

..or Morrowind Tribunal. There you can buy your own pack-rat (it can carry quite a lot <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />)
