Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Help/Tips/Tricks Stuck, can't find out what to do (spoilers)

So I have collected Leandra's Blood, crafted the death knight spell. My quest log says that Icara will tell me where to go, however, she says nothing but "congrats u got the spell".

So then using the Death Knight spell, I killed everything around the temple door in phantom forest, right where the doom night is.

Then for the fifth time I thought I was getting somewhere. Then immediately the door says I need something to enter it. None of the important NPCs have anything to say regarding the door (which I'm only ASSUMING is where I need to be anyway).

I also lowered a wooden bridge to go deeper into some temple, found a large stone head that I can't interact with that is blocking an obvious path, the Alchemy lab, and that's it, dead end.


Since level 16 or so I started to become really frustrated with how cryptic simple game progression can be. I'm a very thorough player and don't like asking for help, but I just can't take wandering around anymore.

You need a rune to open the temple. You can gather the rune by freeing the spirit of the forest in the hut in the swamp in the east. Your quest log is all right.

Have you burnt Cassandra's bones in the hall of the dead (the dungeon with the alchemist)?

Yeah I fireballed her corpse up good, and then literally 1 shotted her with madora after going back. I haven't seen that hut at all, I remember the dialogue about it. Let me get back to you, and thanks.

Jesus, well I figured it out. The reason is because I used my ranger to scout out the forest, I infiltrated the hut and went downstairs and looted the place.

The story didn't progress because my party member Jahan was not there. I believe this is it, thank you!

I am in the Alchemy Lab, what's next? roamed around map and can't find anything to help me progress.

Found it myself, a vanishing door.
