try the troll quest a little later on when you get stronger, as for the
orc drummers.........do you have freeze spell or energy cage!

Hi,

You can try waiting until your fighter is at a higher level before dealing with the trolls or the orc drummers. Trolls are vulnerable to electrical attacks. Repeated use of lightning or burning wall will be enough when you fight them. Make sure you have enough potions with you. (Restoration potions are recommended.) As a fighter, getting a weapon with frost will also make the game easier. You can also cast freeze on the orc drummers and attack them. If they unfreeze, recast the spell and attack again. Repeat this sequence until the fight is over.

Thanks.

timing is everything....just about the time you figure the spell is going to wear off just right click on the drummer and keep swinging!

Hi, another good option is to use meteor strike if you have it!

This spell is kind of the machine gun of your available spells and in the beginning very helpful... [Linked Image]

don't use it too often or it'll ruin the game.

Me, too! ... but playing as a warrior this time, I'm trying different tactics... like running like mad when I saw the drummers at lower levels! Sometimes could lure them, and giant orcs also, into areas with soldiers, and often the soldiers would "help" (not always, though! ). After levelling up a bit more (and finding a great sword ), can now just attack the drummers as long as I do it quickly before their reinforcements arrive.

btw, good to see you back, Lews!

try getting them cornerd in the trees or in a rock mound and then just beat on them until they are dead.

That's what I did in my first few games. Remember the first drummer near Aleroth? I must have done that 3 times or so.
But the 4the time he turned around and hit my char. I was like for awhile.
Reloaded and ran away from them till I was a few levels up in every next game.

I managed to do that first time I crossed the bridge. They were still fighting several game-days later, when I returned

I had trouble too. I killed me one by zapping it very fast. Make sure your mana is full. And then find a balance between getting RSI in your middlefinger and the neccessity to kill the drummer. So use lighning on its [nocando]. It won't have time to be in a marching band.

Another cheesy tactic as they call it is to lure it towards the bridge between the famlands and Aleroth. Those 2 fighters guarding the bridge will occupy it and you can zap it or fireblast it.

(I take no responsibility for finger fatigue or RSI by giving this advice.)
