I really like this game. It is the most convoluted game I've played in a long time (I haven't watched so many how to's or looked for explanations of how to do stuff in a game in a while), but I still think it's pretty decent.

I'm just wondering why rogue-like characters can't equip two daggers. I have a Shadowblade character that excels with daggers, but I still have to equip a shield. I have had to put points into strength just to wield shields to protect myself. Why force all one handed characters to use a shield versus do nothing with the alternate hand? I've seen people lament that in some dex-based builds the rogue is the weakest, and I feel allowing him to dual-wield would have helped a lot.

There is no dual wielding in the game. It may possibly get added at some point. I don't think it would make a huge difference, though; you'd have double the damage, but double the AP, presumably. Maybe there could be a damage penalty to the off-hand, with a chance to block (using both weapons), or something.

You do not have to equip a shield.

There is already some kind of dual wielding in the game ... if you equip only a dagger you always make two attacks and if you additional equip a shield you only make one attack but can have more protection from the shield. So there is still an advantage in leaving your offhand slot free.

You can remove spells for the players too, it would make not a huge difference for me.
I use dual-wield in fantasy games,
no wizardry and it would make the devellopment of the game easier.

Maybe you think the money from dual-wield fans are not enough for the cost of making DW in game, you can lack it.

D&D3.5 rules adapted for PC was the best.
