The Wife and I play this game together exclusively, meaning we do not a your own games with others coming in as guests. It's 'our' save game per se, though it resides on her PC.

When we play, she controls her character and her follower, and I control mine. We each control two toons. So one is chained to her on the Ui and one is chained to me.

Now, when we stop for the day/night...the next time we log in to play...my follower is detached from me. The wife has her follower attached and controls her two people as before, but stone also has control of the third toon. Neither she nor I can reconnect the second follower to the character I control.

The ONLY way to fix this so far, is to ask that follower (the one who was mine) to leave the group, then go to the hall of heroes where 'I' re-invite her. She then joins the group again, under my control and is once again chained to me.

This is such an annoying process to have to undergo each time a static team try to start their co-op session.

Can this be fixed? Let the wife connect the follower back to me at the stray, giving me control again? Something!

The host can hit Esc to bring up a menu, and then the Assign Characters button to change which companion follows which main character.

It's interesting to note that this did not happen with the release version. I believe it started not automatically assigning chained characters with 1.0.53.

My question is: Why did it change?

Ok, thanks, I feel better. I could swear it was a new issue. So I am not crazy lol
