So ... how do you cure Rot? My guy is losing one HP per second and it's just getting annoying. I trying a scroll that's supposed to cure disease and such but it didn't work.

I got it after looking as some chest in the frozen part of the fairy realm, if that helps. I am getting read to get into the castle.

You need a bloodstone to cure it

Well ... where the heck am I supposed to get one of those now? I just pop those as soon as I get them so that they are inert stones and unlock new area's at the End of Time.

How did I get Rot anyway? I thought it was from some ore, but I don't have any ore. I do have a special box for carrying the ore, but I don't have any ... so how did I get the rot?

I have a chest to handle it. Where would I find a book? And ... how do I cure it. It's just annoying.

There is an Ability you will have to discover known as "Tenebrium" that will grant you the ability to hold Tenebrium-related items without harm (and without the box). The book and quest that teaches you this new Ability can be found in Luculla Forest- the quest requires you to defeat the Troll King, and the book requires you have level 5 lockpicking or have bested the Immaculate trials.

To cure Rot, the ONLY way is to use a Bloodstone/find a star stone.

In Jibberjabberheim there's a silly druid who drops you a wand of shambling mound or somesuch, which when picked up will grant Rot.

You're best off ignoring the 1 hp lost per SIX seconds (not every second) and just deal with it until you get the tenebrium handling skill, at which point you'll surely have a bloodstone you can use. Just don't waste time curing it then picking up tenebrium ore without the handling skill.

If I put the wand in the tenebruim ore chest, will that stop the rot?

Nope, you're already infected.

The guy who gave you the tenebrium chest mentions that you can get cured at the church in his village, I haven't tried that but it might work. You'll also get cured during the Immaculate trial, so if your level is high enough (the enemies are lv 14 but there's not a lot of them) you could do that.

You also don't need to defeat the troll king to get the immunity, there's some Tenebrium ore in the Luculla mines you can grab and hand over.

I guess I haven't gotten that far yet. I'm still trying to rescue the White Witch from some prison in Fairyland.

I guess I'll deal with it for now. Nice to know how it happened though.
