For when someone decides that "Man this game's difficulty is out of whack," these could even help with custom campaigns relying on base stuff as well!

1. Make resistances stack multiplicatively. That is to say they will get infinitely closer to 100, but it is impossible to hit 100 without straight up being immune or receiving a +100% resist. Perhaps lower Weather the Storm to 40% or 35% as melees decked out in plate will probably easily get over 90 even with this.

2. Make status effect resists multiplicative off the chance of a status effect.

3. Lower the success chance of status effects. With multiplicative resistances nothing should be able to exceed 100%, and only things that do no damage should be capable of reaching 100%.

4. Increase the level requirements for skills that apply status effects.

5. Make sure to apply the status effect changes to enemies as well so the player isn't overwhelmed in early levels without their disables to counter.

6. Make sure bosses are very, very hard to disable

7. Make enemies get tougher skill wise, not simply statwise as the game progresses. Note: This may be difficult as it will likely require adding additional skills. I think it's okay if enemies have skills that players are never able to acquire. They need very powerful skills to trump the superior tactics of players.

8. The main campaign enemies definitely need stat buffs as well. Take the enemies and multiply their health by 1+level of enemy*.03 and it should end up buffing them up into the realm of no longer instant killed nonstop.

I'm no modder so I'm pretty sure I'll never get around to doing these. As such I am sharing my ideas with someone who might be interested.
