When will the new AI personality's for companions will be added to the game ? Is it August or later? and do I have to start a new game or not?

According to an interview with Swen last week it should be during this week. No guarantees, though.

Oh, and you should not have to start a new game. In the Inner sanctum in your homestead (if it unlocked) yet you can change AI personalities for your characters in existing games.
