wizard/ranger as in 1 character with those two attributes?
im currently playing a ranger/scoundrel with witchcraft spells for buffs, summons and death punch smile
i havent tried it out but i would thing earth wizard/ranger would be pretty good for the poisen and flame arrows, but with ranger classes needing both dexterity, perception and speed, adding intelligence might weaken the character as a whole smile hope this might be helpful

ah no laugh

i was thinking pyro/geo and ranger/rogue for the 2 characters, just having trouble finding some decent guides for the builds, as to read a bit and not having to reroll 100 times.. smile

havent had much experience with wizards, but as for ranger/rogue i tried to lvl dex in the beginning for abit more damage, and then continued with perception and speed, i wanted the expert marksman lvl 5 talent -1 apcost for bows and crossbows so i got expert marksman to 5 and had scoundrel at 2-3, talents kind of depends on if you want other companions or not, ie pet pal is important if you want to do some of the sidequests, (needed on only 1 character) there are way more bows in the game as far as i have seen so i just lvled bow and 1 handed, but other than that I would say its preferances. smile arrow recovery is good if you use alot of arrows smile

Like every other class, Ranger require Speed and Constitution for AP, but instead of having only 1 attribute that determines the efficiency of their skills and which weapon they can use, they have to put points into Perception as well. If you want to multiclass as a Wizard, that means you are forced to invest points into Intelligence as well, which seems way harder than just relying on 3 Attributes.

I guess you could only invest a few points into the casting skills and use the low level buff spells, like Bless and Oath of Destruction + some Summons.

Don't do wizard/ranger do wizard and ranger. Ranger with special arrows is like a wizard and you don't have to spread your stat points to become good for nothing hybrid.
I've managed to make a beast of a ranger on my second playthrough by putting 2 points into Scoundrel and getting useful Hide in Shadows (no need for sneaking with that), Cloak and Daggers (your 2nd teleport since Tactical Retreat) and Charming Touch (2nd Charm). Get ranger a Glass Cannon talent and put stats points into perception, speed, dexterity and maybe occasionaly constitution if you wanna (you can buy stats and abilities raising books after every level up from Keeper of Secrets at Homestead) and you're good to go.
This ranger has many actions points, good at ferreting out secrets and traps, can loot everything and can get out of every dodgy situation.
Leave wizards schools for wizards, because to make the best of out spells requires intelligence anyway. I don't like Lone Wolf talent, so I played with my second main as fire\earth wizard to complement Jahan with eventual 2 points in water for healing spells. Jahan had his usual water\air with 2 points in witchcraft for those uber spells like Oath of Desecration, Ressurection, Absorb Elements and Invulnerability.
Everyone had Glass Cannons except Madora who was our tanky buff sponge.
