hey, im killing all the black ring guys, but can't come close to josephina. what should i do? the normal tactic i had for the others was freeze, scorpion traps, etc., but none of these work. help!

Scorpions should work. Survivor's Curse lowers her resistances so other applicable spells will be more effective. Use a shadow potion until her Blind spell wears off, or use area effect spells which do not need a target.

If you have a weapon with frost damage, try hand to hand combat. you can also combine this agressive tactic with scorpions. Scorpions alone do not work well because the scorpions get blinded by her too.

how do i get frost damage on a weapon? and also, what do you mean i can combine it with scorpions? thanks

You have to find a weapon with frost damage <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.

Loot your shopkeaper, search around for the nobleman´s sword and or the sword of the divine. (dont´t know if these are the correct names in English; I´m using the german version)
These swords are indeed very good ones and often have frost damage. The stats of weapons go randomly, so if you find a good weapon save before taking it with you.

If the weapon does not please you, reload take it a second time and identify it once more... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Combination with scorpions is easy: Just attck her with frost damage, press space bar to pause the game, release scorpions, switch back to weapon and continue fighting...

Radam, this method works, too:
Survivor curse lvl 1 - curse her several times,there is no resistance against this spell and it cumulates (sets down resistances with every click)
then use polymorph lvl 1 - Josie turns into a sweet little bunny and you can slaughter her.

With patch version 1.34 you'll have no prob with this combo. Or errhm, curse + polymorph + scorpions. They like bunnies...

If you're a warrior: Drink a shadow potion to turn invisible, then use your special attack (warrior swirl) not on but next to her. blinding her is quite handy, she can't use her spells on you then. Use banish on her deadknights, they'll disappear then.

Just be sure Josephina doesn't get the focus on your character ! She must not concentrate on your character. So keep her going, using summons of any kind, if you wish, and maybe flash to get her into a defensive pose.

I couldn't imagine how to get past her without the use of scorpions or something similar, and maybe without a frost sword. I have always used this compination, and to me it's still the mose effective one.

I lured everything else out of her sight/range and then sent in som scorpions and then ran to her and some how got her jammed in a corner and bet on her with a weapo that had frost on it. This second time against her was easier that the first.
