So I've noticed that enemy archers and possibly mages (can't recall an instance of this happening but I'll check later today) don't have to worry about environmental effects blocking line of sight like the player does. For instance with a smokescreen up it says that any enemy inside or on the other side of the smoke from my ranger is invisible and can't be targeted. However they can fire right through the smoke with no problem. Anyone else run into this? Of course they usually have enough AP to run and then fire three or four times but thats a separate discussion (and I understand why it's that way, it'd be too easy if they had 9-12 ap).

A few pages back there's this topic : this page which also mentions it. I haven't yet seen any certain information about it, but the OP seems to have a pretty good idea of when it's a problem for him/her.

Maybe I've just been lucky, but it hasn't been a problem for me yet. I'm fairly sure that if you throw a summoned monster between yourself and the enemy (as I tend to do), the bulk of that creature will provide cover for your characters. So, for now, perhaps you might consider using summons as LOS shields.

I haven't seen this happen; in fact, I've successfully used both smokescreen arrows and the smokescreen spell to keep archers at bay.

Could it be they are generic targeting (i.e., just firing in a direction hoping to hit something) instead? I've done that and hit enemies, but only with spells (I don't know if you can do it with archery).
