I am several hours into the game, when I created my characters I chose "Random" though at the time the only other AI option was "Loyal", so are both my characters "Loyal" right now? (I do notice they go towards the obedient trait)? or will the patch make it random again and choose one of the other personalities? Or is there some way to respec their personalities without starting over?

I still do not understand what are AI personnalities as you don't have any alignement int he game.

The personalities affect what dialog choices the other character will make during the dialogs, and this in turn will affect the Traits

Homestead -> Inner Chamber -> Character Creation Mirror

You can change your character personality to one of the new options, although I haven't had the chance to test out how well it works.
