Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - Technical Issues Game crash at the end of the game

Hello,

After entering the first garden and triggering the dialog after stepping on the 2 pressure plates, I'm being given the dialog option to reforge the souls but the game crashes everytime I hit the end of the dialog. I tried to switch the character who was carrying the spell but it didn't change anything. If I try to switch the character who is talking, the game doesn't crash but the final dialog option doesn't work (I hit 1 to end the discussion, but nothing happens and the dialog box stays open).

If I chose the other option, it lets me go through the rest of the game normaly, but without reforging any souls.

Another thing that I find weird is that the portrait of Icara is replaced at this particulart moment by a "?" icon, as if the game didn't know where to look for files (see the screenshot attached).



I've seen that issue being briefly related by another poster here, but I tried to download the support tools to give you a report, but he seems to crash in the middle of the report (not having access to some files). I bought the game on Steam BTW.

Edit : I ,also verified the game's files through Steam and the result was that all files were correctly validated.

You can manually zip the save in question, along with any CrashDump files in the '..\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Shipping' folder, to email to supportdos@larian.com. Perhaps also include your dxdiag report (click Start or WinKey-R, type in dxdiag and hit Enter, then in the window that opens, wait for it to finish and then click the Save All Information button).

Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames' folder. In Windows Explorer, right click on the save folder and select 'Send To | Compressed Folder' to zip it.
