Spamming the early game with a enemy type so specifically resistant to dagger/bow/crossbow users was just a bad idea. I've seen quite a few posts here and on reddit with newer players confused about why their archer or rogue feels so weak compared to their other characters and this is a big part of it.

Eventually, all classes have ways of getting around resistances to some extent, and it's fine for high resistances to come into play more. Low level though, it's just not good. Especially since most players aren't going to have loremaster to see the resistances.

There also isn't another option for an archer or scoundrel, it's all piercing damage early game whereas at least a warrior can use blunt when necessary and a mages can use different elements.
