I recently started a new game due to the new patch (1.0.81) and I noticed that for some reason there is a dividing line that I can see moving through the shadows when I move my camera. When I move my camera I can see the shadows change, as if they go from low-texture render to high-texture render. This is really noticable on the shadows of trees (and their leaves).

I have everything maxed out, graphics options wise, and as far as I know I didn't have this problem before the patch. Anybody got an idea as to what is causing this and maybe a way to fix it?

I already tried quiting/restarting and verifying the integrity of the files, to no avail. Also tried changing graphics options without good results.

PS: if needed, I can provide screenshots.

There is a low/high texture transition for shadows. It was in previous versions, as well, even if you didn't notice it (depends on the situation and the focus of your attention how noticeable it is).

That so. I guess I never noticed it then. Little bit anoying but I guess I should just put up with it. If I ignored it in the past I most likely will again in the future. My thanks for your answer and your continued support here on the forums (and anywhere you lend your support).

its why i dont play with shadows on, very annoying and distracting. Its not something you should see in a game in 2014.

Especially on ULTRA settings.

Id settle for lower quality shadows with NO line, than what is currently int he game (it exists even worse when you arent running on ultra)
