Hi Guys,

Since the patch today , the Divinity Engine wont even let me create Terrain. Creating new terrain under main and my own modules will not let me save the progress.

[Error] " You need Developer rights to open the file "
Please see image :

I have verified the local files several times , reinstalled both the game and the engine. tried every combination of user access control( run as admin) with windows compatibility.

- This happens in the Main module and any level you try create and save. ( it worked once however the entire map was red so had to use a AiSeeder which crashed the app after trying to save )

- Happens in own module which is dependant and uses data files from Main.

There could be other people experiencing this , but it has prevented me from using this kit at all.

Thanks in Advance
Ryan

i have the same experience. I am working on my own module based of the main files. But whenever i tried to create a AI surface and reload/save i get a instant crash. I noticed in the error message section saying thats it trying to read/write protected files and it might be corrupt. sometimes i get [Error] " You need Developer rights to open the file " This does not seem logical to me for it worked before...

Same for me... Since the last update AI surface crashes the Editor.

The error.txt file in the Divinity Engine folder show this:

Size of AI grid and generated data doesnt match, please remove the generated.dat in your Editor\Levels\[LevelName]\AI\ folder

Size of AI grid and painted data doesnt match, please remove the painted.dat in your Editor\Levels\[LevelName]\AI\ folder

Size of AI grid and painted surface data doesnt match, please remove the surfaces.dat in your Editor\Levels\[LevelName]\AI\ folder

If I remove this 3 files, I could re-open my level. But when I re-generate AI grid it's impossible to reload the level... It crash again, even if I change the size or the paint of my terrain...

Thanks !

A work around is to use lstools disable developer rights option. Link to it here:

On tools > disable main module protection
Direct it towards the .dll in the Divinity Engine folder.
