I try to leave my blue pyramid in the abandoned house in Cyseal (where I keep chests with all my materials for crafting), but for some reason, whenever I use a rift travel, the blue pyramid ports back into my inventory, making the whole idea of the pyramids kind of useless.

Anyone else getting this?

It is a known issue (there are several threads on this). You can only use pyramids within the same map. If you go to another map they are pulled together in your inventory.

I think it is by design - but agree it makes the pyramids not very useful.

There is a tutorial message about the teleporter pyramids being returned to your inventory the first time you pick up the blue one (though it mentions getting too far away, rather than specifically changing maps).

You can prevent this (for now) by placing a pyramid in a container (can still teleport to it that way). However, this can cause problems if you use the other pyramid on a different map (you could be teleported out of the level bounds, or somewhere you may not want to be).

Thanks. this is unfortunate though. I was liked the idea of having a pyramid at my home base, being somewhere else, dropping the second one, porting back to home base, doing stuff that needed doing, then porting back to the dropped one and picking it up and continuing. It's a great idea, shame the implementation seems to fail.

I did a search of the forums for pyramids, but didn't see any threads that looked relevant. Maybe my search was specific to the wrong section of the forums

That's why I choose to set up camp at the entrance of the Homestead. This way I always have a dedicated teleport to my base where my chests are. Of course this still means I have to walk back to where I was on the map from a waypoint when I teleport back but I don't mind.

How I get around having to walk back is leave my rogue with the blue pyramid where I was and port back to her when I am done in town and the homestead
