Hey, sorry if the topic subject is unclear. I will try to explain as well as I can.

So here's what happens... when I start or join a game, DOS goes into this inactive state where it doesn't load, appears "Not Responding" in the task manager and essentially stays at the loading screen, although it always appears faded.

As I said, it doesn't actually load nor does it put any strain on my computer. I can alt-tab while this happens.

It stays like this for about 4 minutes and then continues normally, with no such happenstances reoccuring.

None of my friends have this issue and this suggests of course that there's something wrong on my end.

Any tips or hints as to what might be causing the problem?

Thanks,

William

P.S. here are some specs just in case:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Intel i5-2400
AMD Radeon R9 270X
4 gigs of RAM

For the Steam version, did you try verifying local files? In the Steam library, right click on Divinity Original Sin and select Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and then click on the 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache...' button.

Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting the game?

Have you tried switching to windowed mode, or fake fullscreen?

Hey again Raze,

I tried verifying the files, turned off anti-virus, tried windowed and fake fullsceen (fullscreen was the mode I used up until now).

Nothing worked, unfortunately. I will keep trying but I wouldn't mind more suggestions!

Here's a link to a picture to explain what I mean with "always appears faded".

It stays like this for several minutes.

I'm not sure what else to try...

Please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The report will contain system and game information, any crash dumps, and your saved games (which are not really relevant, so can be deleted from the zip to reduce file size).

Will do, thanks for trying to help anyway. It's highly appreciated, trust me!

It's not a serious issue, but I'd like to see it resolved in any case. Thanks again!
