A few things that need fixing:

-chat window size and position isn't saved, next time I launch the game it reverts back to its default size and position. Only thing that saves is clickthrough toggle

-crafting books should tell you if you already know them, the way skill books do.

-treasure maps should tell you if you already know them

-using the stationary sharpening stone boosts a weapon's stats but doesn't change the item name, should add "boosted" prefix like it shows in the preview window.

-gilding items with the grail should change the item name

-hats can't be gilded with the grail, why not?

-asking any NPC for the latest gossip doesn't go straight to their reply but asks the same thing a second time.

* It's supposed to do that... but yes, I also see it doesn't seem to work well for me.
Try deleting the UILayout.lsb... (keep a backup!!!)
* They pretty much do by not giving a "new recipe unlocked" popup.
* They infact do...
As for the rest, wouldn't know as I didn't try crafting, and gave up on golifying gear long ago. And yes, that Rumour thingie is a bug.

Thanks for the replies, very excited about the game and eager to see its kinks ironed out as it reminds me of the good old days playing Ultima VII and VIII - yes, I am one of the 3 people that liked 8! Just feeling that communication and fixing are both lacking so far.

Because in the 2 weeks it's been released now we only got a dozen patches already?
Compared to 1 or 2 from AAA's months after release?

Yeah well of course they don't give a recipe unlocked popup if you already know them but that's not my point. What I mean is that they should show something along the lines of "you already know this" when inspected at vendors. Skill books do that and I don't see any reason why recipes and maps shouldn't do the same. Having to exit the trade interface to check the relevent journal sections to see if you already own them or even having to buy and try them is about as clumsy as you can get there. Oh and regarding treasure maps, would be nice to see which spot is from which treasure map on your map, they all just say "mound".

I don't recall skillbooks doing that on vendors; infact I'm pretty sure they don't. Where does it state that?
As maps have no clones that's rather pointless. You have it, or you don't, there are no copies.
It would make sense for crafting books I agree.

Also, yes, good idea on the map showing which point is what. Also in regards with teleporter locations that would be a nice addition.
