Good morning! So far I'd like to say that I'm loving the game - Been waiting for a more classic-style RPG for some time and I'm greatly enjoying the time I've spent with this one. But, there are a few things that could really use some improvement. They're not major things (in my mind) but they're enough to stand out. I know some of these issues have their own posts, but, eh.

1) Hitboxes. I hate having to reload a fight because an enemy fidgeted and instead of attacking them my archer ran headlong into five enemies because I clicked the wrong spot. Some enemies are more prone to this than others, but it's possible with all of them. It's also a thing when a lot of enemies are grouped closely together since you might not target who you want to, or be able to target someone at all. Also related to this is that some enemies have difficult or oddly-shaped hitboxes, like the spiders in the desert north of Luculla. This can make them difficult to target all the time, not just when they move. Small things are also difficult to find (switches) or click on (rats) at times because of their tiny highlight boxes.

2) Line of sight. Another combat complaint. With isometric perspective it's extremely hard to find out when I do and do not have line of sight, and which abilities I can and cannot use. Sometimes I can shoot an enemy with my archer but the mage right next to him can't target with a spell, or an enemy that should be in plain sight is invisible because he's downhill (what?) or an enemy can attack me with clear line of sight but I can't target them back because they're invisible. Even though they're less than two meters away from my non-blinded melee fighter. I hate having to waste precious time and action points fidgeting around to see exactly where I need to be to 'see' someone. More clarity in the sight system would be greatly appreciated.

3) It's not clear which conversation options affect which trait pair. Romantic, Spiritual, Forgiving, and Altruistic often have identical-sounding responses, for instance, and in some conversations it's not entirely clear which one is going to be affected, or that a trait may be affected at all. There are plenty of intra-party conversations that should tick Egotistical but don't, for instance. And while we're at it, being pragmatic doesn't mean being an insensitive jerk, it means being reasonable and grounded. My pragmatic mage is slowly becoming Romantic over time simply because the Pragmatic choices come across to me as less 'reasonable and grounded' and more Judge Dredd lawful. I suspect this has something to do with the fact the Romantic in my group always speaks first and the Pragmatic response seems like a severe overreaction.

4) I wish I could pause the single-player game. Sometimes I have to get up to do things and I just don't want time passing in the game, but there doesn't seem to be any way to pause it. Am I missing something?

5) It'd be nice if there were a way to select multiple items at a time in the inventory. When I organize things, it annoys me having to do it all item by item when I should be able to select a group of things to move into a container or between characters. I understand this is one of those simple to suggest, difficult to code issues, but I'm wondering if it could be possible in the future.

You can click on the squares at the top of the screen instead of the hit box itself.

Doesn't seem to work for my autoattacks, though, and one of my main chars is a ranger.

I recommend switching Combat Highlights to Circle, greatly enlarged hit box.

I agree with all of these.

You can switch view mode in the upper right to make it 'top down' instead of isometric. There are still weird edge cases, though, like the 'downhill uphill' thing, and smog. It doesn't seem right that you're incapable of seeing an enemy that you're literally rubbing shoulders with, just because you're standing in some steam.

What you say about the personality traits is very true. Particularly, the instance in the beginning of the game where you must follow the guards or fight them. I would characterize "attacking the town guards because they're drunkenly giving you orders" as less Independent and more Heartless, Renegade, or Egotistical. The bonuses from personality traits can be INCREDIBLY valuable, so it would be nice if I know the ramifications of my decisions before I make them.

For that matter, it also bothers me how weird a lot of the personality bonuses are. You might think that a Heartless warrior would be more deadly than a Compassionate one, but you'd be dead wrong. Heartless gives a bonus to back stabs (only useful to scoundrels) whereas Compassionate gives a bonus to crit chance. And then there's Spiritual (immune to fear) which renders the 'Courage' talent completely worthless. Or Independent vs Obedient, which give essentially the same effect (+1 Willpower), except Independent is just better since Obedient only works when an ally has Leadership.
