Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - Technical Issues Skill list causing major graphic bugs

When I open the skill list, there seems to be several graphic bugs happening.

* The screen turns black (everything that's not a part of the "overlay" (skill list, character icons, minimap etc)) and the overlay starts to flicker like crazy.

* The borders and categories on the skill list disappears.

* Trying to forget a skill while this is happening outright crashes the game.

* Every single tooltip lacks the background (so it's just white text) even after I close the skill list again.

This only happens when I open a tab of a skill at level 4 or 5. x/7 is fine, but every time I open a tab that is x/9 or 10 this shit happens.
It also only freaks out like this when I have the game in fullscreen. In both the windowed mode and fake fullscreen, the screen just freezes when I select a tab with x/9 or 10 in the skill list.
Are there any fixes for this? It's still playable, but it's extremely annoying when trying to organize the skill bar or trying to forget an old skill to make room for a new one.

A couple of people have reported similar symptoms when levelling (Video Crashing on Level Up -- NPC issue w/Fix), but not just opening the skill list, that I recall.

For the Steam version, did you try verifying local files? In the Steam library, right click on Divinity Original Sin and select Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and then click on the 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache...' button.


Please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The report will contain system and game information, any crash dumps, and your saved games (which are probably not directly relevant, so all but one can be deleted from the zip to reduce file size).
