Bellegar is trying to turn my male character into a Bellegarette... and he keeps referring to him as a her.

I guess this is what happens when you spend too many years in a cave.

Well, in my current run my female character could not become a Bellegarette at all. No idea why.

I cannot confirm right now, but I think the Bellegar accidentally checks the hero NUMBER instead of hero GENDER, so that hero 1 = Male and hero 2 = Female.

And I do not mean who is leading who in the party at the moment. I mean when you are making a character in the game, the one on the left is Hero 1 and the one on the right is Hero 2. The same thing seems to happen with the male-fearful woman in the Cyseal market.

Is there really any advantage to becoming one of Bellegar's floozies?

There's really no advantage to letting him live. I murdered him when I ran into him at level 9 and got a Staff of the Imagination (Lvl 16 Unique at lvl 9, gasp!) but people on here told me he shows up on the last map.

Trust me.. just kill him.

I didn't kill him, but the female in the group turned down his offer to join. Didn't seem to do much beyond offending him for a few seconds.
