One of my two mains is a Lone Wolf.

I like Jahan's Russian accent, but there's already a mage in my group (me!) and I don't need another one. Or maybe I don't WANT another one. I like being special.

Madora I just don't like. From the power standpoint she's nice of course (comeback kid and all that), but she's old and crazy. I'm tired of her constant nagging about magic this and Source that and the Feline Menace - shut up you crazy old bat, I AM A MAGE AND I LIKE CATS OK? She actually reminds me of an ex-girlfriend's mother and that's DOWNRIGHT UNPLEASANT.

So I'm thinking of ditching both M and J and going with someone who's more to my tastes from the henchman stable. I am not terribly concerned with powergaming aspect (plus, if I want, I can always cheat a bit). Besides random barks, do I miss out on much story/XP/loot without these two?

Also, could I just park them both at the Homestead and then pick them up at some point and do their storylines when I feel like it? Or is it one of those "Jahan's storyline does not trigger unless you witness Mayor of Cyseal piss his pants when the clock strikes midnight in Act 3 with Jahan in your party and while wearing a purple hat" deals?

No major spoilers if at all possible, but pointers appreciated.

Madora has her own quest.
I'm sure Jahan does too, but I haven't hit it yet.

I think it's worth it listening to their storylines. I am kind of surprised at how my impressions of them have changed, compared to how I first met them. Both of them.

Not sure if you can trigger their storyline by keeping them in the hall of heroes.

They both have their own quests, but you can do these quests without Madora and Jahan I believe. If you don't take them with then you will have less story (very short, but sweet) and won't be able to get a few Steam achievements either. I think only the Jahan's quest has achievements though if I remember correctly.
