Hello!

Just bought Div and im having a big problem. Game is working fine without any problems whatsoever, except when i cast any spell. or there comes an effect.

Im on the first "tutorial" dungeon and there is some fire in front of me. If i cast rain on top of it, or destroy water barrell my Computer instantly crashes.

I have nvidia gtx 780.

Its not overheating or anything, and other games that reguire more from Computer like BF3, or Thief etc. work without any problems.

There doesnt come any error message or anything, Computer just starts again, or sometimes just gets stuck on black screen and doesnt start (have to press reset button then)

Any ideas what could be doing this and how to fix it?

thank you.

For the Steam version, did you try verifying local files? In the Steam library, right click on Divinity Original Sin and select Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and then click on the 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache...' button.
For GOG maybe try a clean re-install (un-install, reboot, shut down all non-essential programs, make sure nothing is left in the install folder and re-install the game and patch).

Did you try lowering the game resolution and graphics settings (disabling post processing, etc), to see if that would make a difference?

Please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The report will contain system and game information, any crash dumps, and your saved games. If file size is an issue, any saves not related to the problem can be deleted (since this is consistent, you'd only need to leave one, by the fire surface).

Alright, found the solution.

Went threw all video options one By one. The thing that made the crash was resolution being 2560x1440 (59hz), i changed it to 2560x1440(60hz) and now there is no problems.

thanks for help Raze, hope this might help someone else too.

Thanks for the update.

If you wouldn't mind, please email supportdos@larian.com, with a brief description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The report will contain system and game information, any crash dumps, and your saved games (which can all be deleted to reduce file size).
