Bought the game a few days ago. Installation was ok, no Problems threr. But, when I started the game I found out out that it is impossible to play. Game crashes randomly every few minures. I can't even exit the game with Ctrl, Alt, Del. The whole system freezes in. I tried ti switch off one of the graphic cards, changed the graphic options, even down to the lowest Level. Nothing worked.
The System configuration is:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP 1
INTEL Core i5 CPU 760@ 2,80 GHz 3,99 GHz
4,0 GB RAM 2x AMD RADEON HD 6870
I reckon that should meet the requirements of the game no
problem.
So far it is just a bloody waste of money and a huge disappointment. The game is unplayable. For me anyway. Sorry.

I am having a similar issue. Ran the diagnostic, and it says my c++ fails the test. I have reinstalled twice from the D: OS folder, and once from Microsoft, but test still fails. Any thoughts? Thanks - looks like a fun game.

Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting the game?
There was one conflict with Daemon Tools reported which cause frequent crashes (every couple minutes, in that case).

Have you tried lowering the graphics settings and resolution, etc, to see if that would have an impact?
One person reported stability problem if they had Ambient Occlusion enabled, but the game was fine if they disabled it and enabled it in their graphics drivers. You could try disabling all the post processing in the graphics options, etc.

Do you have Vsync enabled, or the frame rate cap set in the options? A couple people reported overheating on the main menu or character creation screen due to a very high frame rate, even if it was fine once in the game itself. If heat was an issue (doesn't sound like it), then you would probably be able to play longer when you first turn on your computer, and if you restart the game immediately after crashing it would exhibit problems sooner.

Please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The report will contain system and game information, any crash dumps, and your saved games. If file size is an issue, you can delete most of the saves from the zip.

No AV software, no Daemon Tools, no non-essential programs to speak of. Have adjusted all the graphics settings up and down, using all latest drivers - tried betas for NVIDIA. vsync both enabled and not - no difference. Not getting too hot, running water cooled Titans in SLI. C++ 2008 and 2010 show installed, but still fails test. Will send results to email above.

Did you try disabling SLI?

What refresh rate is your monitor running at? Someone reported crashes when casting spells if they picked a resolution at 59Hz refresh rate, but the game was fine with the same resolution at 60Hz.

Same problem in Windows 7. I am running a dual mode with Windows 8.1 and it will run OK if I don't try to load from within the game. It will freeze totally forcing a reboot.

Info available on request.
