Where do the mods go when you save them? And how do you export them into an actual mod?

they go to both the editor directory/mods and the game directory/data/mods

and you publish them on steam workshop. alternatively you can take the game directory mod and upload it like that. just tell people to put it in their game directory/data/mods

Are those two copies of mod data completely the same? Do you need one - any of them or both or a specific one?

Also - anyone knows what are the keyboard keys for resizing the terrain painting or deforming tools?

What the keyboard shortcut to expand the size of a slope tool!?
They say in the tutorial - "hey you have a keyboard shortcut to increase the size heh heh" - and then they dont say what it is!

Did you check in the editor parameters, you have a bench of options to change your keyboard shortcuts, and if I recon well, you have keys to resize the tools.

Sorry for my slow response, you need both for editing purposes but only the one in the main game mod directory for actual playing.
