I'm having a hell of a time trying to make a simple mod with the editor due to the lack of tooltips and unintuitive filenames. If someone could help me out with some really basic functionality I'd appreciate it:

1.) How do I delete a module or an area within a module?

2.) How do I remove a window or door that is automatically inserted into a wall?

3.) What are the filenames for inns/home interiors? Like a wooden floor?

I'll probably have a lot more questions later on, but right now it's this basic stuff that's eluding me.

2) select your wall door section. delete it using the del key.
3) did you try floortile ?

The delete key removes the entire wall segment.

I've found a few floor tiles, but they're all stone floors. I need a wooden floor, as my mod takes place inside an inn and starts on the second floor.

I think (hope) I can answer these.

1. As far as I can tell, the deletion of modules and the levels contained within the modules is managed outside of the editor. Find the files in your installation folder and smack that delete key.

They'll be found at \\*installed location*\Divinity - Original Sin\Data\Mods\*MODULENAME*\Levels\*LEVELNAME*

2. You need to highlight the wall and use mousewheel to scroll through the prefabs. Different wall-types will have different variations of walltype, so you may want to try out a few until you find one which gives you several options. Remember also that you can right click the wall -> split wall to turn a long section into two separate short sections -- this can help in increasing your options. See this video tutorial, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsSf8wI1Qd0

3. Flat floor textures are handled the same way as placing the initial 'base terrain'. Go to terrain editor, highlight your terrain01 (or whatever it's called and hit the green plus sign at the bottom. You'll get a pop-up -- select the resource button on this pop-up. In the resource editor, right click the blue ball icon to filter out non-floortexture resources, highlight 'Assets' on the file tree and search 'floor'. You should get several usable resources. highlight the one you want and hit the 'add' arrow key in the pop-up. If you now reselect 'Terrain01' in terrain editor, you should see your floor texture and can begin painting.

To add, there's 2 floor tile objects (at least that I've found so far) that are the same size as a wall section. One is stone and the other is wood. I believe the wood one is part of the "poor house" set of assets.

Indeed. I LOVE this feature hehe. Dont forget to press ctrl when you mousewheel, to change your wall appearance.
As for del, it works for me, it only removes the door, and it creates two tiny wall sections.

Did you try this root_template ?

It only deletes doors you have added manually, not ones that are parts of the randomly generated tiles, like the corner sections that have doors on the civ wall sections.
