Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know if the quests in Divine Divinity have to be solved in a particular order?I left Aleroth before completing the Injured Soldier quest,but in order to obtain the lizard teleport scroll I've gone back to cure soldiers and get scroll from Gomoe.The only trouble is Aleroth is like a ghost town,no injured soldiers and no Gomoe!Have I blown my chance to get the lizard scroll and are there other quests which have to be treated in a certain order? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Reporting to Ralph about either the Ducal murderer (Cybu) or exposing Elrath will break the escort quest (the healers move on their own, and if the two soldiers weren't healed by then, those quests are also broken). You miss a level of Restoration, +2 Reputation and some experience by not healing the patients. The lizard scroll is only needed for one teleporter pad, in and area you will have little need to return to once cleared.

The Marcus/Tingalf/wagon quest can also be partially screwed up by doing things too much out of expected order, but even then you should get the reward and most of the experience.

If you agree to burn a cart in Verdistis, you must do so that day.

Ward, you had reported to Alix, correct? Got an invitation for the quests Raze mentioned?
Then the healers left for the Blue Boar Inn and the soldiers died. In patch 1.0034 you can get the lizard scroll from Goemoe in this Inn. It's in the farmlands.

Ward, all those links in the questbreaker thread have to be modified:
change to "www.larian.com/ubb etc" and remove the "lariancom.siteprotect.net" - then they'll work again.

There are so many quests that can be messed up with a single wrong move,was this intended by the game makers?

Nope, it was not intended - but the game was supposed to be nonlinear and I guess, the Larians couldn't think up of all possibilities gamers would come up with.
BTW, some of it has been fixed due to the latest patch - mainly designed to remove questbreakers. And I added the valid links in the questbreaker quest further down the thread, ok? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Many thanks for helping,I wonder if you could help a little more with another puzzle I walked away from:-I cleared out a sewer area which was full of Fanatic Lizards,that is all apart from a room with portcullis type gates and a lizard mage,which I couldn't find a way to get in.Any ideas?

drag & drop your teleporter stone at the other side but not too far so u can teleport yourself there.

Just one problem, I gave my teleporters to an imp!

Rescue Zandalor (Rivertown sewers, castle treasure room entrance) and let him teleport you somewhere to get your teleporter stones back.

I've already rescued Zandalor and as I wasn't sure if I could get back from where ever he's taking me,I was going to try to clear up some of the other quests first e.g. the Cursed Abbey.Should I do this or can I return to finish after leaving with Zandalor?

You need to clear the smallish area he teleports you to, but after that you get your teleporter stones and are able to return and complete previous quests, etc or do new ones. There is a one-way trip, but not until you have completed the new quests gotten in the area he teleports you to, and ring a certain gong (you can ring it before then without adverse effect).
