Follow the path going south from the Aleroth gates, then head east a bit and cross the bridge. Avoid the troll cave to the south west until after getting a quest about it in the farmlands (plus, they are tough if you head there right away).

The quest you have is one involving the Tingalf/stolen goods quests. "To Rivertown" is one of the quests that can be left over, or broken, when you get some things out of order. It was my first post on this forum, asking about how to get it out of my quest log.

Before you go to the Rivertown make sure you have cleaned the area around Aleroth, except the Trolls cave. You will gain some exp. points which are really usefull in the begining. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

Only do the troll bit if u have good weapon or scorpian traps cause it v. hard.
