Hi all,
I don't know what's happening but I got to the Trife and got the "fight" signal and before I could make any strike at all or do anything I lost.
It goes through all the turns of the enemies and it gets to the turn of my first character and I get these weird messages that looks like a DOS screen all black that says shutting the computer down and then no computer of something like that and then a you lost message with an option to load a game or go to the main menu.
I apologize for my stupidity. I hadn't closed the Rift yet and that was what was killing me. Once I went back and closed the Rift I was then able to join the souls and then Trife was no problem.
It was a "duh" moment on my part.
