Leo Zullo and Terry Malham, both former CDV employees, have founded their own publishing company Digital jesters. They will be publishing Riftrunner in the UK. I don't know Terry, but I know Leo and I really wish him a lot of luck with this one and that both the company and Riftrunner becomes a success.

digital "jesters" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> Hmmmm... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />
well myrthos.....i do trust your judgement....
because the mention of CDV tended to raise a few
"alarm bells" ....... i know you said they are former employees....
and hopefully they didn't pick up any "bad habits"
from their former employer! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
And i wish them good luck as well....it's good to hear... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />
what is the difference between the U.K. version and the U.S. version?
Maybe i'll have to brush up on my U.K. speaking... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Edit in.......Actually the site looks quite nice! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />
nice writeup too!

I don't know what the difference is in version, but as to the alarm bells: I think even Lar likes Leo. So I don't belief the 'former CDV' label doesn't mean anything negative in this case, rather the opposite.

I think Lar must like those former CDV guys. If not, they wouldn't be publisher now of <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> or? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

This is an interesting situation.
The fact that Leo Zullo and Terry Malham are Former CDV employees can tell us something very important. This important thing is that they left CVD for a reason. It is improbable that that reason is that they agree with all CDV decisions.

In simple words, they are renegades, and in business, this should mean that something happened that motivated them to take this decision and leave. A picture begins to materialise from the background noise informing us that they were not satisfied with what CDV did regarding L. S. and that they believe that L. S. have potential in the market. That is why they signed up for <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> distribution knowing that it was a winning move.

Or at least I hope that this is the true picture.

Or they got sacked for causing the problems. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Just kidding! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I reckon they've got some idea what they're doing, given they've already been in the business. CDV have made a lot of enemies. You should see how much flaming of them there is on the official CDV board. CDV games are being cancelled and jeapordised all over the place.

Morbo wishes Digital jesters (you know jester to jester <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />) the best <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Since CDV had to fire several people due to financial reasons, they might just be some of them.

I hope they will make a good box with lot of "stuff" in it.
As I want the English version of the game, I will most likely buy their version, because US imports are too expensive.

Maybe you could get a Benelux version.
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/question.gif" alt="" />

I useally get UK versions too though.
Or German versions. Although we don't go "shopping" in Germany that much anymore.

They are. The UK office of CDV was shut down, so they lost their job. As they did make a nice turnover during the time they worked for CDV, it was only a small step to start for themselves.

I don't entirely know. I know I don't abuse my powers. There isn't enough traffic for me abuse! There are a number of instances of removing posts and warning and banning users. There are some very offensive people on those forums who don't seem to understand the concept of civilised conversation. I'm surprised they didn't get one guy for his avatar: A close up of punching an Aboriginal in the face. It was clearly a racial slur.

I agree.
Hard to find something possitive there.

Well, at the times when the game with the name "Sudden Strike" was there, the CDV boards had some trouble with people using Nazi symbols in their signatures and this stuff.

Also, they made to me the impression of non-adults. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

(I'm speaking of the German CDV Boards.)

yes yes very sad. but let's look at the whole white board instead of the little black dot on it. here in larian forum we have happy shiny people holding hands. we help & joked with & discussed issues(not everyone agrees but we respect opinions) with & forge friendships with whoever we meet here.

so let's appreciate what we have here. good 2 see u all again after the weekend. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />
