wat do i do to complete this quest(the healing gem and the two sick soldiers)

you find a magic mirror in a house and a scroll near it
scroll explains what mirror can do
then u get the healing gem from the well
then at SE corner of towm there is a big puddle of water.
Throw the mirror in water
Mirror should become invisible
Throw gem in water
Guess what
now u have 2 healing gems
go and heal the wounded soldiers
