To all people who have the random freeze game problem:

Larian studios answered me about the problem, they know it and they put this information in the database bug.

The problem "should" be resolved in the upcoming patch.

The only problem is:
1) the office of course ar closed up to 4 August
2) there is no eximated time when the patch will be released.

Sadly the game is unplayable, it is not right to release game in this status and pretending to be payd in "working money"....

As serious as this issue is, the vast majority of people can play the game without major problems.

I am not trying to make excuses, but realistically it is impossible to release a completely bug free game, let alone one as complex as an RPG with a fair bit of freedom. There is no way to test the game on more than a small fraction of the possible range of hardware and software configurations, and even thousands of beta testers can not catch every issue that the number of people playing on release may encounter.

The game was also updated right up until release day, and after, which is good for gameplay features, but that does mean that some things were not as polished as they would be otherwise. Essentially, a fun game with bugs can always be patched; if you have a bug free game that isn't fun, it is hard to go back and fix broken gameplay mechanics after the fact.

So you suggest to throw the game into the bin and forget all about it? Or even better, buy another copy or what?
I spent € 42.- on it. It's just a bloody waste of money. Every other game I bought within the last couple of months were running perfectly.
I'm really quite pissed off.

Sorry Raze, as you can imagine i cannot agree.

I would suggest to make a different bargain:
i pay the full game and and if, after playing 3 days, everithing is ok for me i confirm payment, otherwise i automatically get refund and the steamkey become invalid.

But i don't think that the software house could agree: why i should agree to buy a product that could not work and i have to pay with "working money" ?

Saying that " it is impossible to release a completely bug free game" is an excuse because
1) the bug we speak about make the game unplayable
2) your sentence is like "if everyone is a thief, why i can't be a thief too?"

Would you buy a stair without all the steps, knowing that when the left steps will be ready they will be send to you?

When i bought the game i knew that i could find bugs, but i thought i would be able to play.
Why i can't get refund and get/buy again the game when it will be fixed?

Lastly, this is a digital versio of the game: it means that there is no box, no manual, no written story, no map no everithing, the only thing you get is the software, and it is not working.

I know that programming a game is something hard and difficult, and i also know that there are a lot of different computer versions, but you, as company, also know that you are selling a not fully working product, so you should create a different seller policy, it is not right to sell something that can't be used.

No, of course not. Larian has supported the game with multiple updates, and will continue to do so.

And yet other people have undoubtedly had serious issues with every one of them. Try an online search or check their technical support forums.

That doesn't make fixing this problem any less important.
